Rick Edwards has owned and operated his own companies from 1979.

Since Mr. Edwards co-founded Amsted in 1979 he has been purchasing and developing properties for partnerships, joint ventures and for his own account. He is actively involved in the creation, enhancement and retention of value through development and renovation of properties. In 1996 he founded GRAE Ventures as a successor to Amsted and has continued his development efforts through GRAE since that time.

Beginning in 1985 he has been active as a private merchant banker investing as a principal in the formation, restructuring, and buyouts of niche based companies. Mr. Edwards started in 1970 with Touche Ross & Company where he earned a Certified Public Accountant designation. Mr. Edwards joined Fox and Carskadon Financial Corporation, a major real estate syndication company as its Chief Financial Officer in 1974.

Mr. Edwards’ academic training includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oregon in 1970.
